When selecting your base vehicle, you will decide important vehicle elements such as colour, mileage, gearbox, short wheelbase, or long wheelbase. Our team will then go out of their way to find the perfect base vehicle for your conversion, so that you can have peace of mind that you are getting the best possible starting point for your custom build camper van.
When we have your vehicle sourced, we’re ready to move onto STEP 2.
STEP 2 - Design Your Camper Van Interior
Once you have selected the ideal base vehicle, the next step in our custom build process is to choose the perfect layout for your custom build camper van.
You can choose from two configurations - Canterbury and Windermere - both available in SWB and LWB options, with a wide range of surfaces, finishes, and accessories to complete your build.
At Platinum Wave Campers, we offer an almost unlimited set of configurations, with a wide range of options for upholstery, units, workboards, flooring, insulated blinds, wheels, interior finishing, and more.

We offer carpets and blinds in a wide range of colours that will complement your custom van design. All of our carpets and blinds are made of durable materials, making them perfect for your camper van interior.
In addition, we offer a range of laminated lightweight worktops that coordinate perfectly with your custom camper van specification and colourways.
You can choose from a stocked range or fast delivery of a wider collection (please contact our Sales team to find out latest stock availability). All our units and worktops are made of lightweight plywood and are heat and moisture resistant, making them perfect for your campervan kitchen.
We are proud to offer the comprehensive range of Valencia coated fabrics for your new luxury camper van. Valencia delivers durability, water resistance, cold crack, and UV-resistance. You can choose from a fantastic range of colours to create a unique and stylish interior.

STEP 3 - The conversion begins

Congratulations, your custom build camper van is about to become a reality!
At this stage in the conversion process, we have all the details we need to start building your dream camper van from scratch.
After confirming your specification with our expert team, all that's left to do is to secure your build slot by leaving a holding deposit of £1000.
We'll then source your dream Transporter and send it to our workshop to be completely transformed. Our team will follow all of your personalisation and design specifications, ensuring that every detail is just as you envisioned.
We are committed to providing you with the very best custom build service anywhere, and we take pride in our workmanship and attention to detail. We will keep you updated throughout the conversion process, and you are welcome to visit our workshop to see your camper van taking shape.

STEP 4 - Collect your Custom Built Campervan
Your dream custom build camper van is now complete!
After approximately a month's wait, we will be pleased to inform you that your Volkswagen campervan will be ready. You can choose to either collect your vehicle from our retail outlet or have it delivered directly to your door, hassle-free.
We take great pride in our work, and we are committed to delivering the best possible custom build service. Our team of experts has worked hard to ensure that your camper van is built to the highest standards and meets all of your personalisation and design specifications.
When you collect your custom build camper van, we will provide a full handover and demonstration, ensuring that you are comfortable with all the features and functions.
